New Floyd Book News!

It's been a while since my last post and it has been a busy winter of shoveling, shoveling, and more shoveling here in Southeastern Mass. Though I'm starting to wish for some signs of spring, those few snow days have helped me wrap up the art work on "Floyd and the Sparkling Seashell" due out this spring!

The plan is to get the book done (scanning, clean up, text), published, and ready for the Acushnet Art Show in May where I will be the featured special exhibitor. I will be showing original illustrations from all of my books and hopefully doing a Floyd book signing (Fingers crossed!). So far, so good!

Here are a couple of studio pics of finished spreads for the new book, the (working) cover, and a short synopsis:

Floyd, Tiny, and Larue spend a day at the beach where a certain Sparkling Seashell catches Floyd's eye. He wants that beautiful shell, but he'd have to go into the ocean to get it.  Problem: Floyd is afraid of the water. With Tiny and Larue's help, Floyd tries some clever ways to get that shell, but can these plans possibly work? Will Floyd ever conquer his fear of the ocean and dive in???  Find out in Floyd and the Sparkling Seashell!!

This weekend more snow = getting some scanning and clean-up work done! In the meantime, stay warm, my friends!!
